The "Théâtre National de Strasbourg" or national theatre of Strasbourg has a varied and large programme. As part of the "Centre Dramatique de l'Est", founded in 1946, the TNS is since 1968 a unique place for French theatre.

The Zénith in Strasbourg is one of the most important event locations in Strasbourg and big concerts by international artists take place here.

This cultural centre Le-Maillon has been founded in the newer district Hautepierre in 1978.
