This museum exhibits Italian and Dutch paintings by Delacroix, van Dyck, Rubens, Raffael etc. The exhibition has been created from 1889 to 1904 by the German Wilhelm Bode.
The new acquisitions of the museum are French artworks dating from the 17th and the 18th century.
One of the most famous paintings shown in the Museum of Fine Art is « La belle Strasbourgeoise » by the Parisian artist Nicolas de Largillière.
