This museum exhibits fossils, Stone Age tools, frescos and statues from the Roman epoch as well as lots of other archaeologic finds.
The exhibition is the second-biggest in France, right after the one in Saint-Germain-en-Laye. It shows objects of the very past, dating from the Bronze Age, the beginning of Christianism and the migration of peoples.
Concerning the finds dating from the Stone Age, animals' fossils and tools found around Strasbourg can be seen. If you would like to see objects dating from the Roman epoch, you can have a look at the Mithras reliefs found in Mackwiller and Koenigshoffen.
