The town hall: Hôtel de Ville

The historic town hall at the Place Broglie was built during the 30's of the 18 century by Joseph Massol. Its original name is "Hanauer Hof" and it was planned for the earl of Hanau-Lichtenberg. It became town hall in 1805. Today, the mayor of Strasbourg welcomes official guests in the caparisoned rooms of the first floor.
