Kammerzell House

This half-timbered house very impressive is a High Gothic building. Today, a popular restaurant is inside. You find the Kammerzell House at Place de la Cathédrale.

The Kammerzell House (Maison Kammerzell) served as house for commercials in the past. It was built during the 15th and 16th century, but its name comes from its owner Kammerzell in the 19th century. In 1891 and 1892, the building has been restaurated. One of the façades, below the windows, is decorated with astrologic signs.

Inside the restaurant, you can find mural paintings by Leo Schnug (1878-1933). Sitting on the terrace, you have a nice view on the place surrounding the cathedral.
